Original message vs. Reply-To fedora-list messages

David,

Some e-mail clients will simply transform the smiley typographic symbols into 
graphical smileys regardless of whether the message was composed in HTML or 
not.  I believe that Thunderbird is guilty of this.  You should be able to 
turn it off in your viewing preferences.
