It depends on whether you actually use those packages or not. Obviously
you wouldn't want to remove packages you're still actively using.

You can find packages that aren't included in your currently-enabled set
of repositories using:

# yum list extras

If you've just done an upgrade (and done a "yum update" to update any
packages from extras and any third party repos you use), this will show
you any now-obsolete packages plus any packages you installed from any
other source. It can't distinguish between the two though - you'll need
to do that yourself.
