Success! Once again, I reply to myself, for the purpose of leaving
a record. The problem with your suggestion was minor - there was
no /etc/dhcp*. I'm presuming that the command stalled when it
couldn't find that location. Removing that entry from the command
and running it again reset the labels for /var/lib/dhcp to
'system' for all files within, and now all works. Thanks for the
suggestion - I would have taken much longer to track this one down
without it.
