KDE Desktop Reorganizes Icons?

Or more exactly, it UNorganizes my desktop icons every time I log in. Which 
isn't often, because my system just stays up, but occasionally I do log out. 
Now, despite the fact that I've sorted my desktop icons a million times, when 
I log back in KDE puts them BACK where they were--scattered all over, some 
overlapping others. How do I tell KDE to behave?
