FC3 cdrecorder problem

Hello,
I have installed FC3 kernel 2.6.10-1.760_FC3smp on a gateway 7200x pc which
includes a samsung cd/dvdrw drive.
When I use cdrecord to write either cd or dvd iso images, I get the
following errors:

any suggestions / ponters gratefully accepted. I know I may need to
recompile a module or update something since I have had to update teh
