The one comment on Slashdot that I liked was that this is this.

Listen people, whenever a commercial application is ported over to 
Linux it is good for the effort to get Linux on the desktop. It 
doesn't matter if there are already command line tools out there that 
will do the same thing. So what? Yeah there are graphical front ends 
available for these command line tools available...but once again, so 
what? If they support linux, I have to support them. If you prefer 
FOSS applications, that's cool. But we need the commercial 
applications as well and this is one of the best commercial 
applications out there.......

Now I don't like paying for software if I don't have to but this is 
different than paying for a Linux application.  What Nero wants is for 
me to pay for a Windows application to get a Linux app.  This is what 
I fired a email off to Nero about.

I like the idea that more commercial software companies are looking at 
Linux but I think they are in for a rude awakening as there are many 
applications that are free that work very well and would be their 
direct competition.

Commercial applications will drive Linux farther onto the desktop and 
this is good no matter which way you look at it.  :)
