Upgrade KDE with YUM

You can also point yum to KDE's own Repo for the 3.4 RPMs at (using a 
mirror) 
http://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/Mirrors/ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/3.4/RedHat/Fedora3/i386

There should be a closer mirror to you, just look on the KDE 3.4 
info-page on www.kde.org.

The yum-update went flawlessly and KDE 3.4 worked very well since then.
