Yum update seems to have stalled

This came in a bit too late. However, thanks to you and everyone else who had 
helpful suggestions on this. Looks like all is well, now. I did a yum clean 
all and things seem back to normal. I shall follow the several suggestions 
made about doing major yum updates incrementally, in the future.
