NTFS Writting...what a m....

Would be interested to hear feedback from a couple of people who are
using / have used captive ntfs, I got the impression that writing to
NTFS volumes from linux was very risky?

The Linux NTFS project haven't implemented write functionality yet and
in their FAQS re. writing to NTFS volumes it says:

"The possibility of destroying your filesystem is very high. The new
driver, introduced in 2.5.11, has some write code, but it's very
limited. The driver can overwrite existing files, but it cannot change
the length, add new or delete existing files."

The NTFS driver ntfs.sys is located where it is expected
(/usr/local/var/lib/captive/ntfs.sys). The error message indicates you
did not copy it from your licensed Windows(r).
