slrn 101, creating .jnewsrc

what does it mean to "add command line options"?  Add that command to what?

[thufir at localhost ~]$ slrn
slrn 0.9.8.1 [2004-10-07]

Reading startup file /etc/slrn.rc.
Using newsrc file /home/thufir/.jnewsrc for server
shawnews.vc.shawcable.net.slrn fatal error:

Unable to open /home/thufir/.jnewsrc.
If you want to create /home/thufir/.jnewsrc, add command line options:
   -f /home/thufir/.jnewsrc --create

Thu Nov 10 10:58:31 EST 2005
[thufir at localhost ~]$
