One more mplayer qyestion

I am still confused. I downloaded all-20050412.tar which is supposed
to have the codecs. Untared this and put the files contained in
all-20050412 directory in /usr/lib/win32

>From www.cnn.com it still asks me for the Windows media player. Where
have I gone wrong?
