I'm not sure if I have the right codec for WMA or they
are just too DRM'd, but they won't play in mplayer or
the other players I currently have installed.

I did find a script that uses mplayer to convert them,
but all I get is an empty file. 

I booted WinXP just to see if I could burn them there,
but no good. Win Media Player wouldn't burn them
either. Didn't think to try to play them; just got fed
up and went to bed.
