wireless connection

 You need to install the latest IPW2200 drivers from
http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/#downloads and the firmware from
http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/firmware.php

I had the same problem and this fixed it immediately.

I can't make the wireless connection in my laptop eventhough it seems to be
detected here is the dmesg for the wireless adapter:

The device is listed under
system-config-network->hardware tab as eth1 but no on
the devices.

If I try to edit the device on the hardware tab assigning the right irq 5
and mem fafef000-fafeffff range this is what I get:

 ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:02:04.0[A] -> GSI 7 (level,
low) -> IRQ 7
ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection
ipw2200: ipw2200_boot.fw load failed
ipw2200: Unable to load firmware: 0xFFFFFFFE
ipw2200: failed to register network device
ipw2200: probe of 0000:02:04.0 failed with error -5

Any help with this will be appreciatte it. Thanks Even with this LINUX
