Anything in /etc/fstab doesn't use autofs
neither do external USB/Firewire or local CD drives - these are managed
by the local hal and udev processes (and some GNOME trickery)
unless you have put entries in /etc/auto.master yourself (have a look
for uncommented lines), you're not using autofs and can turn it off if
you wish.
