I was kind of hoping some people with experience in these types of
things could clue me in a bit about what's really good - the
manufacturers aren't always forthcoming with their shortcomings, and
review sites are often purchased these days. IE the firewire/usb2 case I
bought that supposedly worked with anything - turns out the firewire
part only works in Windows, which is a bummer because my older iMac has
firewire but only USB 1.0 - but none of the review sites I found
mentioned that "works in Linux" means USB 2.0 interface only ...

If it exists - I want to make sure multiple DivX can be burned to a
single disk, and that I can burn the disc in Linux. Oh - and DVD-R works
(I assume most can take -R and +R but ...).
