INIT problem, hanging linux

I get this error on one fo the FC3 systems :

INIT: PANIC: Segmentation violation at 0804af1c (code)! sleeping for 30
seconds.

And this error keeps coming every 30 seconds and the system startup hangs
after enabling swap space. What could be the problem?
