Somewhat off-topic, though not entirely, as there do seem to be a fair
number of threads lately of which I'd have said "try comp.text.tex":

I'm curious about what you mean by "those types of places" and whether
you've tried posting a question to comp.text.tex.  I've found the
group to be quite helpful, and it would surprise me very much if
the regulars weren't responsive to your concerns as described below
(consistent fonts, getting things to look just right).  

Maybe a "YMMV", though.
