changing bluetooth mouse to left handed in KDE?

Has anyone come across the following issue?

My wife has a laptop with FC5 fully updated and running KDE.

On her desktop with the same setup and using a USB (wireless) mouse it is easy
to switch the mouse from right handed to left handed under "peripherals" in the
KDE control centre.

However on the laptop if this is tried the touchpad duly switches to left handed
but the bluetooth mouse (Logitec V270) remains right handed !

Anyone know how to effect the switch for the bluetooth mouse ?
