udev hangs at Startup

   Try catching grub at its menu, 'e' edit the FC boot option, 'e' edit the 
kernel line, remove the 'rhgb quiet' bit.  If that shows nothing obvious, try 
things like 'noprobe', noapic, nousb ... there are several 'no...' options, 
try googling, see if any of them help.

   May not help, but may pin down the problem.
