How to start applications at login in FC5?

 From the main panel, select "Sessions" from the "System" --> 
"Preferences" --> "More Preferences" menu.

Then you can set it to automatically save session stuff in the the 
"Session Options" tab and/or configure thins in the "Startup Programs" 
tab as you see fit.
