automated installation of rpm/app on a number of client machines

Hi...

I'm trying to walk through the process of installing/updating a given RPM on
a number of client machines. Is there of way of automating this process so I
can essentially install the same RPM with the same parameters/attributes on
the client nodes.

The app might need to:
 -create a user for the app
 -set up a given config/conf file
 -install the software
 -etc...
