Also some older drives are not able to read newer media. I doubt if
you will find new firmware for these old drives. I have multiple BTC
brand DVD-ROM drives, an old one that cannot read newer CD-RW and
DVD-R media and one six-months old that can read most media. Guess
what no firmware for the old drive and I'm unable to update the newer
drive because the Windows only update software does not work (Tried on
three different computers).
