My hate is well channelled. configure should be setting PKG_CONFIG_PATH
when running pkgconfig, as a consequence of telling configure the
--prefix. It's on par with the silly CFLAGS and LDFLAGS fiddling I have
to do. For the very normal values I'm supplying, configure should be
doing it.

It was just getting started. And running other gtkpod versions probably
didn't help.
