Suggestions for streaming audio?

For me, there's no real advantage other than the 'it's cool' factor.
But I also have 13 systems at home, some of them laptops with wireless
connections, and this just seemed easier than trying to setup Samba for
Windows systems and NFS for linux boxes.

I also have separate channels for my music, mostly metal, classical and
retro 80s tunes, and my kids for their stuff.
