boot USB errors - No Fix makes FC6 unuseable

Hi all,
I have spent my entire day off trying to figure this out. As near as
i can tell
FC6 and the newer kernel changed (broke?) usb significantly. This means my
iogear dual-monitor kvm switch will NOT work although it worked flawlessly
with FC5. The kvm switch has its' own external power supply.

No having a working KVM switch that supports usb makes use of the only
nice
tactile keyboard I have found (a BTC backlit ultra-thin model)
impossible with FC6
with my limited desk space having 2 keyboards and mice on the desktop is
impractical.
The video switching does work very nicely as long as I remove the usb
cables.

The problem began after grub and before the boot started. As noted
the following:

usb 1-1.1: failed to restore interface 0 altsetting 0 (error=-110)

until I turned the unit off. It would NOT boot.

So, until usb is fixed in Fedora, I will have no choice but to leave the
machine turned off and
use Windows and untilmately be forced to upgrade to Vista (not what I
intended).

Thanks to those that responded.

Bob
