I am using VMware Server 1.0.1 build-29996 together with
vmware-any-any-update105.tar.gz.

With KDE, I had never experienced the reported problem, but now that I
am using XFCE, I get it. Several people have reported the same problem
but for older versions of VMware (information provided by Google).
