I extended logical volume, but filesystem size has not increased

Oops! I started on this tutorial,but jumped to do the exercise before  
finishing.

Well, It was easydoing with ext2online. But I expected a size of about  
8.2GB whereas what I got was about 7.6GB. What's this overhead for?
