Udev problem

 Many of us had problems with the new udev. Look to earlier postings
 on this list for various solutions or workarounds. I had both graphic
 and permission issues. For me the easiest solution was to install,
 like you, the earlier udev and boot into kernel-2.6.14-1.1656.
