The Fedora Test list would have people testing FC5T3 and be able to 
confirm inform you that Firefox and OpenOffice.org are not working in GNOME.

I have no problems with FireFox or OO using GNOME on a "sort of FC5T3" 
system (Rawhide, continued from FC5T1)
