Dovecot not fetching my mail?

The old configuration file will definitely not work with v1.0, if that's what 
you are using.  FC4 used 0.99.14 and there have been many significant 
changes.  Print out your old config file, print out the wiki page mentioned 
here, and print out the docs from the Dovecot site.  You should be able to 
configure it correctly then.  If not, there is an excellent Dovecot mailing 
list - not too high volume, but responsive.
