GNome Un-install?

I would leave it alone. If that's not good enough, then remove gnome and 
whatever goes with it, then reinstall what you want.

If that pulls everything back in, there's nothing more to be done, but 
that might not happen.

_MY_ time is too valuable to fight over a few dollars worth of disk.
