Not really.  FAT and Fat32 usage over the last 10 years can be shown
to have fallen out of patent enforcement and out of copyright. 
Microsoft didn't choose until recently to "enforce" it's rights to
Fat32 -- so I will take a wait and and see attitude before throwing
away fat abd fat32 support.

Microsoft is worried about Linux in the long term.
