Anaconda upgrade bug: leaving old kernel-devel packages in place??

By default, anything starting with "kernel" is "rpm -i", not "rpm -U".
In other words, they're "installed", not "updated".  This also true of
yum updates (see "man yum.conf" under the "installonlypkgs" section).

It isn't.  It's a known thing and judged to be "good" by most.

They don't remove things that don't _have_ to be removed.  Just do an
"rpm -e" of the kernel-devels you don't want.
