Evolution updates breaking Exchange?

I added a new evolution account for IMAP to our exchange server.  Other
than having to pick the exact server by hostname, things went well.
It's much faster than connector, but no calendaring, etc., as expected.

Checking supported types of login, resulted in no encryption.  I have no
insight into what our IT folks have configured, and no desire to deal
with it :-)

Using sendmail for outgoing mail gets clamav into the mix, a good thing.
I can't think of a way to get the inbound mail scanned, maybe sieve.
