Timed and automatic login not longer automatic

    Looks like they've added a new feature to gdm-2.14.8-1. I suppose
it is more secure this way,

This should have worked!  Did you add the user first? (users tab).
you can do it manually by editing
the /etc/gdm/custom.conf adding:
AutomaticLoginEnable=true
AutomaticLogin=<your user name>

under the [daemon] heading

and
Include=<your user name>
under the [greeter] heading
