Firefox default extensions:many language packs

In the default Firefox installation on FC5 I have twenty or thirty
language packs installed as extensions. As is well known, many
extensions cause FF to be slow, and FF certainly is very slow on this
machine. I cannot remove them one-by-one as the remove option is
greyed out. How can I remove these extensions, then?
