Ad-hoc or Managed WiFi mode?

It seems to depend on the chipset and the driver.  For my Athros card 
using the madwifi drivers, it only works in Managed mode.  Under FC5t3 it 
sees the Broadcom chipset and works in none of the modes.

Not certain why.
