How can I allow screensaver unlocking by root?

Just a thought, but would you be able to log into another terminal
window as root and then kill the screensaver process?  Not exactly
sure how you'd do it (or if it could be done at all).  Hoping someone
else can fill in the blanks (or provide an easier solution).
