Metadata file does not match checksum

If you say there it nothing wrong with my system what do i do now ?
 i know there is updates needed because there is for sure a new kernel
  plus other updates that needs to be done. i just checked with my 
laptop
 to be sure of it before trying to update my main box that i am on now.
 my ? is help what do i do now?
 and there is no packages in yum cache
 to clean that may be doing this.
