Or if you have more than one machine and ever move disks around...

What does that mean and how does it make it unique?  If you are
going to change it, make it work for people who have dozens/hundreds
of machines with swappable drives.  As it is, you can't even
boot a machine that has duplicate labeled disks to get to a
point where you can fix it.
