I have an error message !! :-( ...

[root at fc1 tmp]#cat initrd-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.img | cpio -it
cpio: premature end of archive

..the same result is with 'initrd-2.4.22-1.2115.nptlcustom.img' !!, why ??

I have a notebook with Windows XP Pro (host OS) and I use VMWare Server and 
I have fedora core 1 (virtual machine) what (guest OS).
