OpenOffice.org broken?

Maybe. I also had a serious problem with the version from openoffice.org
(german localized package). I could not create tables, for it always
said, some columns sizes are missing, which was definitely not true.

But, finally I am happy, that StarOffice handels my databases (also
remote mysql) without any complaints.
