And apparently you couldn't read, as the NVIDIA driver has *ALWAYS*
needed to be (re)installed when changing kernels, and this was always
documented in the driver README.  If you didn't like that fact, you
shouldn't have:
0) bought nvidia hardware
1) used linux
2) installed the nvidia driver
