Well, this is as good a thread as any to post one minor miracle that
also happened today. I was ranting and distraught to have lost all of
my /var/www backup on one of those ill-fated Dvd's. I was really really
really bummed as some of the content was a writer's write once affair
that I really didn't want to have to try to replicate. I was more afraid
I couldn't.
You tell me, it's all back! Every file and every project with pics and
stuff related to www.wayward4now.net. It's not up yet as I haven't
gotten a static IP yet, and I just might find a higher speed server farm
setup to put it on, but here's the little miracle. I still can't mount
that Dvd! I did a clean install, the drives reformated and /opt is
empty. Stuff happens and you just give thanks to the Creator. Somehow it
burped long enough to restore. I am blown away. Java happens and my
little site is ready for primetime.
The Universe provides folks, on it's own schedule not ours. Peace, Ric
