reinstall fc5 on 2 disk system

I reinstalled fc5 on hda drive and left hdb drive alone.  I need to 
mount the hdb drive, so:
 fdisk -l

Disk /dev/hda: 20.4 GB, 20416757760 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 2482 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

   Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System

Disk /dev/hdb: 40.0 GB, 40020664320 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 4865 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

/dev/hdb1   *           1          13      104391   83  Linux
/dev/hdb2              14        4865    38973690   8e  Linux LVM

I can't mount hdb or hdb1 or hdb2.  Tried stuff found on Internet for 
mounting, and got confused.  What might be the steps to get hdb 
available.  I'm not sure what or how the LVM thing works.
