I use nut. I am not sure if there is a gui interface for nut, but the config
files are only moderately complicated. That is most due to the separation
of this feature into three parts, talking to the ups, controlling emergency
shutdown of the local computer and providing information from the ups to
whatever machines are interested (in the event that one ups is powering
multiple machines).
