Fedora list message froze my Evolution

The initial message with header 
"FC5:ifconfig sees ath0 but system-config-network sees wifi0" 
had nearly 10K blank lines at the bottom.  It kept my Evolution busy for
a good while, to the extent that I eventually investigated  and erased
the blank lines directly in the e-mail file.
