I see.

Every Linux distribution that I know of uses GRUB as their bootloader of
choice. So many thousands of Linux users, millions maybe?, use GRUB. with
no problems. Something in your hardware, setup, or pebcak, means that GRUB
does not work for you. I would bet on the pebcak.  ;-)
