best way to add fedora directories to yum?

I would NOT do this. Remove yum that is. I doubt that the 'install/remove
software' feature would work after that. I have not tried this but it sounds
like a bad thing to do. Yum is an application, actually made in several
pieces, that helps you solve dependencies and find the needed packages. I
would think, never have tried, that using the 'other option', update existing,
from the DVD and not reinstall but update would have also fixed this.
