Ah... I was wondering whether it required a spare hard drive or made a
RAM disk to do that.
Of course that means it's gone after a crash, reset, or reboot. Pity it
can't do something like the old Amiga's recoverable RAM disk - some
memory space used as a disk, where you'd only lose the contents on
serious errors, powerdowns, or deliberate erasure; but you could reboot
without problems.
